Habitat

A. tristis has been observed in intermittent wetlands. A. laetipennis has been reared from rice fields and lotus ponds. Rearing experiments indicate larvae develop in aquatic environments with vegetation and require slopes of sand and gravel for pupariation.

Life Cycle
