Icterica is a of true fruit flies in the Tephritidae, established by Loew in 1873. The genus comprises at least two described : Icterica seriata (Loew, 1862) and Icterica circinata (Loew, 1873). As members of Tephritidae, these flies are characterized by patterned wings and association with plants. The genus has been recorded from the United States, including Vermont.
