The genus contains approximately 13 described organized into four subgenera: Dentilimosina, Hackmanina, Opalimosina, and Pappiella. Species have been documented across Europe and parts of Asia, with some described from Japan by Hayashi. The genus is characterized by distinctive morphological features that separate it from related limosinine genera.
