Gymnochiromyia is a of small flies in the Chyromyidae, first described by Hendel in 1933. The genus contains at least 16 described with distribution records spanning Europe, Hawaii, and other regions. It has been characterized as having an almost distribution. Species have been documented from Scandinavia (Denmark, Norway, Sweden) based on occurrence records.
