China: recorded from Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, Mt. Tuomuer area of Tianshan, Inner Mongolia (Alxa/Alasan), Sichuan (Erlang mountain), Shanghai, Jiangsu, Xinjiang, Liaoning, and Tibet/Xizang.

Two new synonyms proposed in Chinese fauna: Wohlfahrtia Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1889 = Sinotibetomyia Xue in Xue & Fei, 2011, syn. nov., and Wohlfahrtia atra Aldrich, 1926 = Sinotibetomyia curvifemura Xue & Fei, 2011, syn. nov. Wohlfahrtiodes and Wohlfahrtiodes marzinowskyi are new records from China.
