Larsia

Fittkau, 1962

Larsia is a of non-biting midges in the bloodworm Chironomidae, established by Fittkau in 1962. It belongs to the Tanypodinae and tribe Pentaneurini. The genus contains at least three described , including L. atrocincta, L. angusticornis, and L. curticalcar. Like other , do not feed and lack functional mouthparts.
