Larsia is a of non- in the bloodworm , established by Fittkau in 1962. It belongs to the Tanypodinae and tribe Pentaneurini. The genus contains at least three described , including L. atrocincta, L. angusticornis, and L. curticalcar. Like other chironomid , do not feed and lack functional mouthparts.
