Myllaena is a of rove beetles in the Staphylinidae, Aleocharinae, and tribe Myllaenini. The genus contains more than 60 described distributed across the Nearctic and Palearctic regions. A taxonomic revision of Nearctic species recognized 20 species arranged into four species groups: Cuneata, Insomnis, Potawatomi, and Seminole.
