Atheta hampshirensis

Atheta hampshirensis is a rove beetle in the Staphylinidae, originally described by Bernhauer in 1909. The species has been documented across much of Canada and parts of the northeastern United States. It was among the species newly recorded for New Brunswick, Canada, in a 2013-2016 survey that significantly expanded knowledge of regional biodiversity. Like other members of the Atheta, it is a small, elongate beetle with reduced characteristic of the family.
