Diplotaxis is a of 32–34 of flowering plants in the Brassicaceae, native to Europe, the Mediterranean region, and Macaronesia. is highest in the Iberian Peninsula, North Africa, and the Cape Verde archipelago. The genus includes and herbs or sub-shrubs with yellow flowers in most species, though D. erucoides bears white flowers. Several species, including D. tenuifolia and D. muralis, are cultivated or occur as introduced weeds.
