Strophiona is a of longhorn beetles (Cerambycidae) in the Lepturinae. The genus was established by Casey in 1913 and contains three recognized : Strophiona laeta, S. nitens, and S. tigrina. These beetles belong to the tribe Lepturini, a group commonly known as flower longhorns due to their frequent association with flowers.

Taxonomic History

The Strophiona was described by American entomologist Thomas Lincoln Casey Jr. in 1913. The type is Strophiona nitens (Forster, 1771), originally described under the genus Leptura.

Species Composition

The contains three : Strophiona laeta (LeConte, 1857) distributed in western North America, S. nitens (Forster, 1771) found in eastern North America, and S. tigrina Casey, 1913.
