Phalangodes is a of armoured (: Laniatores) in the Phalangodidae. The genus was established by Tellkampf in 1844. At least one , P. armata, has been formally described. Members of this genus belong to the infraorder Grassatores, a group characterized by relatively short legs and bodies compared to other harvestmen.
