Taxonomic note
The name Satilatlas marxi has been used in herpetological literature in reference to a blindsnake (Ramphotyphlops marxi, now Indotyphlops marxi). This creates potential confusion, as the arachnid Satilatlas marxi Keyserling, 1886 and the reptile Indotyphlops marxi (Inger & Marx, 1965) are entirely unrelated sharing only a specific epithet derived from the herpetologist Hymen Marx.
