Heterocerus texanus
Heterocerus texanus is a species of variegated mud-loving beetle in the family Heteroceridae. This small beetle was described by Pacheco in 1964 and is native to Texas. Members of the genus Heterocerus are typically found in muddy or sandy habitats near water.
