Identification

Distinguished from similar Sophronia by the combination of rosy-white ground color with brown and fuscous overlay, the spear-shaped rosy-white fascia at the third of the forewing, and the small black dot near the apex. The outwardly angulated fascia and specific pattern of mottling on the apical third are key diagnostic features. Known distribution in Texas may help separate from other North American with more northern or western ranges.
