Metopleura is a of gelechiid moths erected by Busck in 1912. The sole described , Metopleura potosi, is known only from San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Identification

The single known Metopleura potosi can be recognized by its ochreous forewings with lighter whitish-ochreous longitudinal streaking along the , an outwardly oblique blackish-fuscous streak from near the costal base extending across half the wing, and a poorly defined blackish streak parallel to the termen at the fourth on the side. The hindwings are shining dark fuscous with a light ochreous marginal line at the base of the cilia. The wingspan of 30–36 mm is relatively large for the .
