Tinagma is a of small in the Douglasiidae, established by Zeller in 1839. The genus contains approximately 25 described distributed primarily across the Palearctic and Nearctic realms. Most species are poorly known, with limited biological data available. Several species were described or revised by R. Gaedike in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
