Proterops is a of braconid wasps in the Ichneutinae, established by Wesmael in 1835. Members are , with at least two known : the type species and Proterops borneoensis, described from Borneo. A new species from China was described in 2008. The genus has been recorded from Europe (Denmark, Norway, Sweden) and Asia.
