Muesebeckidium obsoletum

Muesebeckidium obsoletum is a species of cuckoo wasp in the family Chrysididae, described by Thomas Say in 1836. Members of the genus Muesebeckidium are small, compact wasps with metallic coloration. The species is rarely encountered, with only nine observations recorded on iNaturalist as of the knowledge cutoff. Like other chrysidids, it is presumed to be a cleptoparasite of other wasps or bees, though direct observations of this species' biology remain limited.
