Ranatra kirkaldyi is a of waterscorpion ( Nepidae) found in North America. It is one of approximately two dozen species in the Ranatra, all of which are aquatic predatory insects. The species was described by Torre-Bueno in 1905. Two are recognized: R. k. kirkaldyi and R. k. hoffmanni.
