Taxonomic history

The Decomia was established by Poppius in 1915, but the tribe Decomiini was not formally recognized until Schuh's revisions in 1984, when he described three new genera (Decomioides, Malaysiamiris, Malaysiamiroides) and redefined the group. Aurantiocoris was added in 2004, bringing the total to six genera.
