Minettia lupulina

Minettia lupulina is a small fly in the Lauxaniidae, originally described by Fabricius in 1787 under the name Musca lupulina. The has been recorded from parts of Europe (Denmark, Norway, Sweden) and North America (Vermont, United States). As with other lauxaniid flies, it likely inhabits wooded or shrubby environments where larvae develop in decaying plant matter.
