Ceraturgus nigripes

Williston, 1886

A robber fly in the Ceraturgus, first described by Williston in 1886. The species was the subject of a 2008 taxonomic review that synonymized Ceraturgus mabelae with C. nigripes. It belongs to the tribe Ceraturgini within the Brachyrhopalinae. The species is one of several Ceraturgus occurring in eastern North America.
