Oxypoda opaca is a small rove beetle ( Staphylinidae) in the Aleocharinae. Native to the Palearctic region, it has been introduced to North America where it is now established in Canada and the United States. Like other aleocharines, it is a member of the diverse rove beetle fauna associated with various decaying organic matter .
