Philhygra is a of rove beetles in the Staphylinidae, first described by Mulsant & Rey in 1873. The genus contains at least two described , including Philhygra criddlei and Philhygra homoeopyga. Species are distributed across Europe and North America. As with other Staphylinidae, members are likely characterized by the family's distinctive short that leave much of the exposed.
