Triarthron is a of round fungus beetles in the Leiodidae, established by Märkel in 1840. The genus contains at least two described : Triarthron maerkelii (the type species) and Triarthron lecontei. These beetles belong to the tribe Sogdini within the Leiodinae. As members of the Leiodidae, they are likely associated with fungal , though specific ecological details remain poorly documented.

Taxonomic history

The was established by Märkel in 1840 with Triarthron maerkelii as the type . Triarthron lecontei was described by Horn in 1868. Both species names reflect their describers, with maerkelii honoring the genus author Märkel and lecontei honoring the American entomologist John L. LeConte.
