Taxonomic note

Euryptychini is one of several tribes within Macraulacinae, a of Eucnemidae. The tribe was described by Russian entomologist Boris Mamaev in 1976. Eucnemidae as a whole are distinguished from true click beetles (Elateridae) by their generally reduced prosternal process and often less pronounced clicking ability.

Data availability

Based on iNaturalist records, the tribe has been observed in the field at least 10 times, though -level identifications may be sparse. Published biological and morphological studies specific to Euryptychini are limited, and most comprehensive treatments focus on the Eucnemidae or Macraulacinae as a whole.
