Diplostethus texanus is a of click beetle in the Elateridae, found in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. The species was originally described as Crigmus texanus by LeConte in 1853. Click beetles in this family are characterized by their ability to right themselves when flipped onto their backs using a prosternal spine that engages with a mesosternal groove, producing an audible clicking sound.
