Athous neacanthus

The species belongs to the genus Athous, a diverse group of elaterid beetles commonly known as click beetles for their ability to right themselves using a prosternal spine and mesosternal groove mechanism. The common name "Spineless Click Beetle" suggests a potential diagnostic morphological feature distinguishing it from related species.
