Anorus is a of soft-bodied plant beetles in the Dascillidae, established by LeConte in 1859. The genus contains at least three described distributed in North America. Members are classified within the order Coleoptera but possess characteristically soft, flexible bodies rather than the hardened typical of many beetles.

Nomenclatural note

The name Anorus is also used in Hymenoptera (Ichneumonidae) as Epelaspis anorus Townes, 1970, but this represents a distinct in a different order. The genus Anorus LeConte, 1859 has priority and is unrelated.
