Dascilloidea is a small superfamily of polyphagan beetles containing two : Dascillidae (soft-bodied plant beetles) and Rhipiceridae ( beetles and cicada beetles). Members exhibit diverse ecological strategies, with some associated with plants and others parasitic on cicadas. The superfamily is part of the infraorder Elateriformia within the suborder Polyphaga.
