Dasytellus

Dasytellus is a genus of soft-bodied plant beetles in the family Melyridae, established by Casey in 1895. The genus is considered taxonomically doubtful, suggesting its validity or circumscription may require revision. Very few observations exist in public databases, indicating it is either genuinely rare, poorly sampled, or potentially synonymized with related genera. Members of Melyridae are generally characterized by soft, flexible elytra and often exhibit metallic coloration.
