Dearthrus is a of carpet beetles in the Dermestidae, native to North America. The genus was established by LeConte in 1861 and contains at least two described : Dearthrus longulus (1863) and Dearthrus stebbinsi (1954). Members of this genus are part of the diverse dermestid fauna, which includes many species associated with dried organic materials.
