Syarinidae is a of pseudoscorpions comprising at least 20 and approximately 110-120 described . The family has a pantropical distribution, with species documented from tropical and subtropical regions including mainland Ecuador, Korea, and relictual in European caves. Several new species have been described recently, including five from Ecuador and two from Korea, suggesting ongoing taxonomic discovery.

Habitat

Leaf litter and subterranean , primarily in tropical and subtropical climates. One (Arcanobisium) has been documented from limestone caves in eastern Spain, representing a relictual cave-dwelling lineage. Field collections in Ecuador indicate abundance across all forest systems.

Distribution

Pantropical distribution. Documented from mainland Ecuador (Napo Province: Colonso Chalupas Natural Reserve, Jatun Sacha Natural Reserve; Pichincha Province: Otongachi Natural Reserve), Korea, and eastern Spain (Valencian , Castellón province). Some appear to have narrow geographic ranges.
