Hentziectypus globosus is a of cobweb spider in the Theridiidae, commonly known as the Fingered Cobweaver. It is a small spider native to North America. As a member of Theridiidae, it constructs irregular, tangled webs rather than organized orb webs. The species was first described by Nicholas Marcellus Hentz in 1850.

Taxonomic History

Originally described by Hentz in 1850, this has been placed in the Hentziectypus, which contains small cobweb spiders. The genus name honors the original describer, Nicholas Marcellus Hentz, a prominent early American arachnologist.
