Hermannielloidea is a superfamily of oribatid mites (order Sarcoptiformes, suborder Oribatida) established by Grandjean in 1934. These mites belong to the cohort Brachypylina, one of the most diverse lineages of Oribatida. The group is characterized by specific morphological features related to the ptychoid body form, which allows the animal to withdraw its legs and into a protective cavity. Members are primarily soil-dwelling decomposers, though detailed ecological studies remain limited.
