Usage Notes
The remains poorly known biologically; larval habits are inferred from few rearings and field observations. Odiniidae is sometimes grouped near and in phylogenetic treatments of Opomyzoidea, though relationships remain tentative. The low count relative to broad distribution suggests substantial undescribed diversity, particularly in tropical forests.
