Definition
A small of (order Mecoptera) distinguished from the related by exceptionally short —among the shortest of all mecopterans. The family comprises two disjunct : Brachypanorpa, restricted to the United States and thought to feed on leaf , and Panorpodes, occurring in East Asia with one extending to California.
