A formerly recognized extinct order of wingless insects, now treated as the suborder Monura within . Members, represented by the Dasyleptus and Dasyleptidae, were superficially similar to modern but possessed distinctive features including a single long terminal filament, leg-like , and non-ambulatory abdominal appendages. They ranged from the Late Carboniferous through the Permian, with at least one lineage surviving into the Middle Triassic.
