Introducing the Bug Word of the Day!
Entomology and arachnology are big fields with a lot of vocabulary. The amount of strange words (such as pterostigma ) can be very overwhelming, but it is important to learn these terms. That is why I added a glossary to this site with ~1,000 bug terms that are good to know. It is by no means a complete list, but it is a start to becoming more familiar with the language of entomology and arachnology.
Along with that I am launching the Bug Word of the Day to give a nice gentle introduction to all those terms. I'm going to attempt to post everyday on social media with the word of the day, but at the very least the word of the day page will always be up-to-date.
