Hylaeus annulatus is a solitary in the Colletidae, commonly known as the Annulate Masked Bee. It is one of approximately 50 of Hylaeus in North America and part of a of roughly 900 species worldwide. Like other masked bees, it is nearly hairless and -like in appearance, with distinctive yellow or white facial markings. The species has been recorded in North America and Europe, with distribution records from Luxembourg and Norway.
