Arvelius is a of stink bugs in the Pentatomidae, established by Spinola in 1840. The genus contains approximately 13 described , with A. albopunctatus being the best known. Members of this genus are found primarily in the Neotropical region. As with other pentatomids, they possess the characteristic shield-shaped body and that produce defensive compounds.
