Anthocoris nemorum can be distinguished from the closely related Anthocoris nemoralis by oviposition site preferences: A. nemorum lays primarily near leaf margins on apple, while A. nemoralis prefers pear leaves and deposits eggs in the leaf centre, 5 mm or more from the margin.
